E-Commerce Project Manager

Location: New York, NY
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Madison is seeking an E-Commerce - Project Manager, Europe/UK region, to join our team in our NYC office.  

This position will coordinate and manage e-commerce projects, deliverables, order processing and timelines to ensure client satisfaction, quality and profitability. This is a detail-oriented role that requires fantastic project management skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships, order processes and customer service escalation all while managing internal and external client expectations through proactive communication. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who will quickly gain in-depth knowledge of the vendors they will manage within their regions, while following and enhancing current processes and procedures to increase efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities Include:  

  • Europe/UK region knowledge

  • Have a full understanding of Madison's tools and technologies to perform job tasks

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel to manage all vendor offerings

  • Process vendor orders and tracking files

  • Lead and deliver all tasks in a team environment on-time and with high quality

  • Identify escalation patterns and make suggestions on how to improve processes to lower escalation rates

  • Contribute to the growth & development of Junior E-Commerce Project Managers through mentoring and knowledge sharing

  • Able to be self-sufficient in researching and tracking down solutions to business challenges in regards to Madison and our vendors

  • Develop excellent vendor relationships in order to manage vendors and internal team expectations

  • Negotiate discounts to increase Madison's profit margins

  • Manage technical aspects of partnerships

  • Manage ALL regional communications with vendors

  • Obtain all necessary information requested by the E-Commerce Manager

  • Lead projects pertaining to all areas related to our vendors

  • Manage partnerships

  • Understand billing details and be able to identify areas in which we need to improve our finances with vendors

  • Continuously work to increase and refine the offerings that vendors can provide Madison

  • Create and present powerpoints with vendors and clients

  • Process vendor payments

Requirements/Skills:

  • Europe/UK region knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Advanced Knowledge of Excel functions such as: Vlookup / Hlookup, pivot tables, grouping, filtering, conditional formatting, custom sorting, find and replace, etc.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting

  • Highly Organized

  • Effective communicator

  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator

  • Ability to think outside of the immediate environment and project issues the customer is likely to have before they have them and provide appropriate solutions

  • High level of initiative and works well in a team environment

  • High level of understanding of the business objectives and goals for all vendors within their region

  • Understanding of the E-commerce space, best practices, and customer service relations

  • Ability to be an analytical thinker and use that thought process to analyze data within their region
