IMA Examines Branding and Recognition

As a proud board member of the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA), I am getting ready to participate in a panel discussion at the annual Executive Summit next week in Washington D.C. The theme of the three day event centers on “Leading in The New Economy” and together with other industry colleagues (some from the Performance Improvement Council, an IMA Strategic Industry Group), we are going to examine Engagement’s Impact on Brand Values.

As this is a topic Madison is passionate about and we recently addressed in a Performance Perspective and infographic, I look forward to hearing the opinions of others who are also part of this emerging rewards and recognition conversation. The fact that we are all converging on this topic at such a high level venue is not a coincidence – it is a pivotal time and topic for the HR suite.

The session will cover the role recognition has on the brand’s authenticity, the way it influences culture, how it all comes together to drive profit and what recognition planners and HR leaders should do now to focus workers on behaviors that reflect the company’s promise to end users, customers and fellow employees.

Stay tuned. I will recap some of the highlights when I return.
